Our Work
"Afrilicken in the Community" is our contribution to and support for our community. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we have initiated this community project aimed at supporting minority youth, particularly those of black ethnicity, with career choices, mentorship, and food aid. Our goal is to provide mentorship and career guidance for black children in our community, while also contributing to the feeding of those in need. We believe that this initiative will help to build a stronger community, and we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Career Guidance
These are workshops that brings high profile professionals, businessmen, etc to come and share their knowledge, experience and opportunities that exist in their field. It helps the youth and Uni Students to identify their strengths, interests, and skills and provides them with guidance and support to achieve their career goals.
Mentoring
Our mentoring project is a one-to-one program designed to play an essential role in addressing challenges such as cultural barriers and a lack of access to resources. Our mentors provide insight and advice based on their career experiences and help mentees identify their strengths and areas for improvement. This process allows mentees to build the confidence they need to excel.
Togetherness
Our Togetherness Project is our way of breaking down barriers and encouraging communication and collaboration among young black minority individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive space for youth to come together and engage in shared experiences, which help foster a sense of belonging and promote positive relationships. This project offers free dance lessons, events, and fun games.
Feeding
We do our best to provide hot meals to those who are unable to afford a decent lunch or dinner, especially students who are low on cash.
